Nokia N97 support

Transfer content

You can transfer your images, videos, text, business cards or calendar notes from a compatible Nokia device to your device using the Phone switch functionality and Bluetooth connectivity. The type of content that can be transferred depends on the model, and you may need to insert a SIM card into the previous device; your device does not need a SIM card for transferring data. If the other device supports synchronisation, you can also synchronise data between the two devices.

Content is copied from the memory of the other device to the corresponding location in your device. The copying time depends on the amount of data to be transferred. Note that the necessary steps for data transfer may vary depending on your device.

Use Phone switch to transfer data with Bluetooth

  1. Turn both of the devices on and set the Bluetooth connection to active.
    • With your device you can do this by selecting Menu > Settings > Connectivity. Choose Bluetooth and activate it.
  2. Select Menu > Settings > Connectivity > Data transfer.
  3. From the synchronisation options, choose Phone switch.
  4. Allow the Bluetooth connection and select the device from the list.
  5. Select the data you want to transfer and press OK.

Tip! After the data transfer, you can save the shortcut with the transfer settings to repeat the same transfer later. The shortcut appears in the Switch main view.

To edit the shortcut in the Switch main view, select Options > Shortcut settings.
