Transfer content between devices

You can use Nokia Content copier also to transfer files from one device to another. To be able to transfer files, they must first be backed up.

1. Create a backup file of the data you want to transfer.
2. Open the main window of Nokia PC Suite and select Backup application.
3. Select the Restore button to import a backup file to the device.
4. The application shows you a list of the available backup files. Select the file made of the content you want to restore.
• If the backup file you want to transfer is stored in another location, select the Browse button to browse for it.
• If you want to search for all the backup files stored on the PC, select Scan PC for backup files.
5. Select Next.
6. Select the content types you want to transfer from the selected backup file. Note that some device models do not support all content types.
7. Select Next to start transferring the files.
8. During the transfer, a progress indicator helps you keep track of the process.
9. When the transferring is complete, the contents retrieved to the device are shown. A yellow triangle indicates that certain files were not restored (e.g. due to limited free memory in the device).
10. To view more information about the completed transfer, select View the report.
11. Note that, some device models need to be rebooted after the transfer process is complete.
